How to find us in Saalbach

From the top of the village on the main street, you will find INTERSPORT BAUER (you can also purchase your tickets, Best Price Packages and book Private Lessons here). From the village square 50 metres further on the right hand side you will cross a small wooden bridge, a couple of metres further on the right hand side of the road you will find our Ski School Office.

From your accommodation along the Glemmtaler Landestrasse (road) in the direction of Hinterglemm you can travel with a ski bus from an appropriate bus stop direct to the Schattberg Express bus terminal. Our Ski School Meeting point 1 lies directly beside the bus terminal.

From the Meeting Point 1, between the bottom station of the Schattberg Express and Hotel Unterwirt, it is only a minutes walk over a small bridge alongside the Schattberg Stuberl to the pedestrian zone, here you will find the Ski School Office directly opposite

From the "Schiliftstrasse" (past the village church) you will find Bauer´s Schialm, opposite is the Intersport Testcenter BAUER (you can also purchase your tickets, Best Price Packages and book Private Lessons here). As you pass the church on the left hand side you will reach the village square, 50 metres further on the right hand side you will cross a small wooden bridge, a couple of metres further on the right hand side of the road you will find our Ski School Office.

How to get to Saalbach (Arrival by Car)

Arrival by car Arrivals from Eastern Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary

• Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1)
• Wals-Lofer exit
• then via Bad Reichenhall to Steinpaß frontier crossing
• Lofer, direction Zell am See
• Maishofen
• Saalbach Hinterglemm

or

• Westautobahn Vienna-Salzburg (A1)

• at the Salzburg interchange switch to the Tauern Autobahn (A 10), direction Villach

• at the Bischofshofen interchange take the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B 311),    direction Zell am See

• Maishofen

• Saalbach Hinterglemm

Arrivals from Germany (No Autobahn toll sticker is needed)

• Munich-Salzburg Autobahn (A8) to the Siegsdorf exit
• Then in the direction of Inzell
• Continue to a fork with signposting for Lofer
• Cross the frontier at Steinpaß and continue to Lofer
• From there, continue to Saalfelden in the direction of Zell am See
• At Maishofen take the turning into the Glemmtal
• It is then only 14 km to Saalbach

Arrival by Train

The nearest station is Zell am See. Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) will be pleased to supply information. From Zell am See there is a post bus, which runs at 1- or 2-hourly intervals to Saalbach Hinterglemm. Taxis are also available in Zell am See.
